How's Nancy Now?

People often ask me, "How's your sister?"

She's lonely, not because she has no friends but because she can't remember them.

I call her almost every day (I'm not perfect!) and we hold a family Zoom on Saturdays.

My brother is admirably attentive--he takes her out several times a week.

Her aides make sure she attends activities with other residents--movies, Happy Hour, exercise classes--and she sits with a friend at meals.

Still, when I call, she tells me she has no friends.
